two seperate selection option boxes in snapshots to allow easier recall of snapshots without reslection of snapshots tracks or turning off "selected tracks only". #179

From musicbynumbers@gmail.com on September 07, 2010 10:01:36 cool :) My only prob with your suggested command could be if it doesn't respect what options you want to save, i.e. only fx and not vol,pan and mute. Haven't tried that command for a while so not sure if it does..will give it a go :) anyway, glad you see a use for it :) being able to recall previously saved snapshots of say drum mixes (inc effects,pan and volume) without having to un tick "selected tracks only" or selecting all the tracks again before recall. thanks! :) |

One thing I'd love to see in snapshots is instead of the one tickbox for "selected tracks only" how about two separate tick boxes.
This would better represent the two separate processes;
"taking" a snapshot and "applying" a snapshot.
Called something like "take snapshot from selected items only" and "apply to selected items only".
Reason for this is (unless i'm doing something wrong) I would like to be able to quickly save a snapshot of a tracks effects, level and pan and at the moment I can select that track and take the snapshot BUT if I want to recall it I either have to reselect that track (before recalling) or have to un-tick "selected tracks only" to not have to worry about reselecting the snapshot's track(s).
If we had two tick boxes I could then leave it set up in such a way that I can take snapshots of selected tracks and then recall them without having to un-tick any boxes or reselect the same tracks.
hope that makes sense. :)
