Cue Buss Actions Don't Respect Preferences #262
Comments
From jeffos...@gmail.com on February 17, 2011 07:48:41 hi! Also, the all purpose is to ease the cue buss creation: you don't need additional macros to unset solo defeat, enable master/parent send, etc..
To open the GUI, either main menu > extensions > cue buss generator.. or thanks to the actions "SWS/S&M: Create cue bus track from track selection". Let me know if it still not clear.. Status: Investigating |
From jeffos...@gmail.com on February 17, 2011 08:26:04 ^^ went too fast, sorry. little precisions: to show the GUI either main menu as explain or the action "SWS/S&M Open Cue Buss window..". Also, all the props you saved in this window will be used for the 3 actions I listed above, except the receive type of course: that's why there are 3 different actions ! |
From OuttrOMu...@gmail.com on February 18, 2011 14:04:00 yea thanks, i actually discovered the cue buss gui after posting this. i didn't see it before because i was just searching actions in the actions list. but i always use sends pre-fader because i like to pan busses separately from the track for stereo effect. i think that is a new preference, because i had never seen it before either. useful one tho! |
From jeffos...@gmail.com on February 20, 2011 13:12:13 ok! the rest is fixed too ( r423 , cue buss actions new use the send & hw output default prefs) Status: Fixed |
From OuttrOMu...@gmail.com on February 20, 2011 19:09:57 so fast! much thanks! |

What steps will reproduce the problem? reaper preferences>project>defaults set the default send gain to -150db. run an sws action to create a cue buss from a track in the project, open the io window. What is the expected output? What do you see instead? the action does not respect the output level set in the preferences, presumably because it's set to mimic the level of the sending track. maybe i misunderstand what these actions are supposed to do, but i'm trying to use them for a macro to create a buss track from the selected tracks. i have to include actions to unset solo defeat and enable the master/parent send on the buss track (i'm not sure why it's set that way) to get the desired effect, but i don't want my sends all at full blast when i create the buss. really sucks creating for instance a reverb buss while im monitoring through my speakers because of the instant feedback the extra signal causes. if these actions are set this way for some other purpose, then maybe i should request a different set of actions? sorry i'm just confused. i actually don't know what the "cue" part of "cue buss" signifies.
What version of SWS extension are you using? (Extensions -> About SWS...)
latest What Reaper version #? 32 or 64 bit? 64-bit What operating system are you running? (e.g. Windows XP/7, OSX 10.5.8 etc, 64bit?) win7 x64
