hey guys, as usual, I've got more requests for the resources - the bookmarks are just great, and I think most of the ideas would be useful additions - so, here we go
Re-populate list - an option in the right-click menu to re-populate (re-fill from directory) the current list. Typically this shouldn't be neseccary, though, I think would be a nice addition, as if I've moved "resources" around in my OS, then the changes are not seen by the resources. Re-populate from directory would be a nice quick re-scan of that directory, and then any changes would be updated - without having to navigate through the OS
Save to Current Bookmark Directory - this would be nice too, as it would avoid having to navigate through the OS when saving resources. For example if I wanted to save an FX chain, say a delay based chain, I could then choose my FX CHAINs>DELAYS bookmark (which is a specific folder on my OS), and then right-click and choose - save to current (Bookmark) directory. The idea here too, is to avoid navigating through the OS.
I realize both requests here may not work, because it seems to me the bookmarks aren't actually saving directories, but compiled lists, that may be across many directories - so I'm not sure if they are feasable. So i don't know if it would work, or if implementing some sort of - "bind bookmark to directory" is something possible, or you feel like doing
k, onward
Right Click - create empty bookmark - right now if i want to make a new bookmark of resources i have to create a bookmark, then delete whatever slots are filled, THEN I can go and fill it from a new place. Creating an empty bookmark would be a little simpler, and avoid the potential of wrecking previously created bookmarks (through user error).
Maybe I'm mising something, but is there no way to re-name bookmarks? This would be neseccary if FR#3 was implemented.
anyway those are some thoughts - like I say not sure if the directory based FR's would work (#1&2), though maybe it would be worth pondering implementing a "bind bookmark to directory" feature. That is if I undersatnd the current implementation correctly.
Ya, in regards to 1 and 2, I was getting some inconsistancies due to user error I believe. There are a few things related to them though that are still coming up, though I will have to work with them more to come up with some better information....
