"SWS/BR: toggle show volume send envelopes for selected tracks" does not respect preference for volume fader scaling

In Reaper's preferences I have Scaling for new volume envelopes set to Volume fader scaling. If I create a new send and activate it's volume envelope from the track's automation window the envelope will be fader-scaled as per my setting in the preferences. However if I use the SWS action "Toggle show volume send envelopes for selected tracks" to activate the send's volume envelope (my preferred methogd), the envelope will have amplitude scaling, and I'll have to manually set it to fader scaling to get it the way I like.
