evil-mark-replace

Replace symbol at point in marked area.

EVIL is required.

Install

Place evil-mark-replace.el somewhere (say ~/.emacs/lisp), add below code into ~/.emacs:

(add-to-list 'load-path "~/.emacs.d/lisp/")
(require 'evil-mark-replace)

Usage

Here are the commands you can use. Feel free to assign key bindings to them.

evilmr-replace-in-buffer

Mark current buffer and replace the thing.

evilmr-replace-in-defun

Mark current function and replace the thing.

evilmr-replace-in-tagged-region

Mark tagged region and replace the thing.

Tagged region is created by M-x evilmr-tag-selected-region.

You may M-x evilmr-show-tagged-region to double check tagged region.

evilmr-replace-lines

Replace in mulitiple lines.
