Hi all,

we been using refinery to create our site without any problems in development mode, but when tried to deploy in production the application doesn't work anymore, it doesn't allow to make any changes into our pages using wysiwyg editor and we are unable to edit the page properties in advanced options.

Seems that javascript crashed completely (perhaps in database), if we create a new project works fine... Also when we try to deploy the same project in development but using other pc the behaviour is the same.

We can't make changes using wysiwyg editor and advanced options, the front page is working fine but our clients can't make any changes by themselves.

Any suggestion? what can we do about it?

Thanks in advance.

Have you compiled assets?

Yes i do... but still the problem persists... where should i put therubyracer gem? right now is located on the assets group only, i thought that a rake assets:precompile in production put the things right but nothing happens.

The most weird thing is that the same project is not working on a different machine (development mode)... we use a postgreSQL database, the same version, the same gemset, the same ruby and just from one machine is possible to make changes with advanced options and wysiwyg editor (the one where the project was created).

At the beggining we thought that it was a database problem, so we generated a full dump in the machine where it works and try to start from scratch but using sqlite instead of postgres, first we make the changes in development.sqlite, after we move that file into production (renaming to production.sqlite) and still not working (not even running in another pc under development env using sqlite).

Any other idea? Thanks for your answer!

BTW i'm getting this javascript errors...

Uncaught TypeError: Object function (selector, context){return new jQuery.prototype.init(selector,context);} has no method 'Event' - refinery.js:143

Uncaught TypeError: Object # has no method 'outerHeight' - wymeditor.js: 5469

Thanks - can you please give us the complete output of running bundle exec rake assets:precompile --trace?

** Invoke assets:precompile (first_time)
** Execute assets:precompile
/home/ejmm320/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.3-p194/bin/ruby /home/ejmm320/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.9.3-p194@global/bin/rake assets:precompile:all RAILS_ENV=production RAILS_GROUPS=assets --trace
** Invoke assets:precompile:all (first_time)
** Execute assets:precompile:all
** Invoke assets:precompile:primary (first_time)
** Invoke assets:environment (first_time)
** Execute assets:environment
** Invoke environment (first_time)
** Execute environment
** Invoke tmp:cache:clear (first_time)
** Execute tmp:cache:clear
** Execute assets:precompile:primary

command ends without problems, thanks for check the case.

Strange. Any chance you can give me access to your application? I'm afraid I can't think of any reason for this to break out of the box.

@ejmm320 did you have any luck resolving this issue?

Sadly we moved to a different CMS... because weren't able to fix this quickly and the timelines were short. However we still have interest on work with refinerycms for other projects.

Thanks for your concern.

@ejmm320 I'm sorry to hear that you had to switch to different CMS. Since there isn't a clear way to reproduce this I'm going to close this ticket.

I hope you will try Refinery CMS in the future and won't run into mysterious issues.
