Not sure if this is a bug in Ren'Py or in the font.

Just wanted to say that this also happens to me, with the Maass Slicer italic font.
The first_indent and rest_indent properties are an effective workaround though.

This is definitely a bug in Ren'Py as it happens with any "fancy" font that extends farther than the character.
