Less Back‑and‑Forth, More Shipping: Copilot Code Review in Your PR Workflow

Pull requests are where delivery speed often gets stuck: reviews queue up, senior engineers get overloaded, and teams churn through cycles of back‑and‑forth before code is “ready to merge.” In this session, you’ll see how GitHub Copilot Code Review (CCR) acts as an automated first reviewer inside your existing PR workflow, delivering fast, actionable feedback so authors can iterate immediately—before a human reviewer even arrives.

We’ll walk through practical CCR usage (requesting reviews on PRs and from the IDE) and how to apply suggestions quickly to reduce review friction. We’ll also cover what matters for organizations: enabling automatic reviews via rulesets, shaping consistent standards with instruction files, and improving quality and security by pairing AI feedback with deterministic tooling where available.

You’ll leave with a concrete playbook to pilot CCR in 1–2 repos, scale it safely, and free human reviewers to focus on architecture—not routine fixes.

Maximizing GitHub Copilot with CLI & SDK: From Terminal to Any App

GitHub Copilot CLI just hit general availability — and it's no longer just a terminal assistant. It's a full agentic development environment that plans, builds, and executes across your codebase without changing how your team already works. In this session, we'll introduce Copilot CLI and the newly previewed Copilot SDK, then live-demo how to build an application with AI at its core — using CLI to develop it, and the SDK to embed Copilot's agentic loop directly into the app itself.

Building Agentic Automations with the Copilot SDK & GitHub Agentic Workflows

GitHub is rapidly expanding its agentic capabilities beyond the IDE. In this session, we'll explore two powerful new tools that enable developers and platform teams to build AI-powered automations at scale:

Copilot SDK — A multi-language SDK (Python, TypeScript, Go, .NET) that exposes the same agentic engine behind gh copilot as an embeddable library. We'll cover custom tool creation, MCP server integration, lifecycle hooks for safety guardrails, BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) for GHES/air-gapped scenarios, and a live walkthrough of a production-ready CI/CD migration agent built with the SDK.

GitHub Agentic Workflows (gh-aw) — Now in technical preview, gh-aw lets you write repo automation in plain Markdown instead of YAML. We'll dive into how it works — from the compilation pipeline that converts Markdown to locked Actions workflows, to the defense-in-depth security architecture (SafeOutputs, threat detection, network firewalls), and practical patterns like intelligent issue triage, CI failure root-cause analysis, and ChatOps deployments.

We'll close by showing how these two technologies complement each other: the SDK for programmatic agent orchestration (embedded scripts, custom pipelines, GHES), and gh-aw for event-driven repository automation with built-in enterprise security — together covering the full spectrum of agentic use cases on GitHub.

Target audience: Support Engineers, Solutions Architects, and anyone interested in building or advising on AI-powered developer workflows.
