Terms and Conditions

Licensor ("We")

The RingDAO organization offering the Software under these Terms and Conditions.

The Software

The "Software" refers to each version of the DeGov.AI software that we make available under these Terms and Conditions, as indicated by our inclusion of these Terms and Conditions with the Software.

License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and Conditions, we hereby grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, non-transferable license to use, modify, and distribute this Software for any Permitted Purpose identified below.

Permitted Purpose

A Permitted Purpose is defined as personal or internal organizational use. Specifically:

  1. You may use, modify, and self-host this Software for personal or internal organizational use without restriction.

  2. You may not offer this Software as a commercial Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) or Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) unless explicitly approved by RingDAO governance. To request approval, raise a proposal at RingDAO Governance if you want to offer this Software as a commercial SaaS or PaaS.

  3. Commercial hosting of this Software is only permitted if you are an approved hosting provider on the RingDAO governance-approved list.

  4. Approved providers must contribute between 20% and 40% of their sales revenue from hosting services to the RingDAO Treasury.

  5. Any use that circumvents or attempts to bypass these restrictions is strictly prohibited.

Redistribution

These Terms and Conditions apply to all copies, modifications, and derivatives of the Software.

If you redistribute any copies, modifications, or derivatives of the Software, you must include a complete copy of these Terms and Conditions and must not remove any copyright notices provided in or with the Software.

Enforcement and Compliance

Unauthorized commercial hosting or any violation of this license will result in the immediate revocation of all rights granted under this license.

The RingDAO Multi-Sig Committee is the designated authority responsible for enforcing compliance and managing the governance-approved hosting provider list.

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THE LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS SOFTWARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Grant of Future License

We hereby irrevocably grant you an additional license to use the Software under the Apache License, Version 2.0 that is effective on the second anniversary of the date we make the Software available. On or after that date, you may use the Software under the Apache License, Version 2.0, in which case the following will apply:
