In the simulation domain, the fluid does not touch the actual bounds of the domain object. This is because there is a thin solid layer between the domain bounds and the inside of the domain. The thickness of this solid layer is related to the domain resolution and is about 1.5 grid cells thick. It can be difficult for the user to find the 'true' ground or bounds of the simulation domain.

This feature request is to add on option to the Grid Debug Settings to visualize the true bounds of the domain.
