I am running couchdb on a local host. I can't seem to change the max results returned limit from the default of 25. I went into DatabaseIndexer.java as well as the .ini file and changed the limit to 1000, but no luck. Setting the preferred limit within the query also doesn't work.

Any ideas on what I could be missing? Otherwise, the search appears to be working.

Hi,

You just need to add limit=1000 to your url. Are you doing something like;

curl host:5984/path?q=foo&limit=1000

If you don't quote the url then the & is passed to your shell, which backgrounds the process and discards everything after it. This is one common reason for query parameters to be ignored.

Thank you so much - you are totally right. I had no idea. Class noob error. Your response time is also legendary.
