OSU Peer Evaluation Software

The OSU Peer Evaluation software is a tool used to eliminate the hassle of transferring paper grades to digital grades for peer groups in the classroom environment. The idea came from Technology Across the Curriculum as a way to increase the efficiency of current grading methods and encourage productive use of technology in the classroom environment.

Instructor benefits

  • Seamless grade transferring (no need to transfer paper to computer!)
  • On the fly, class-by-class statistics for mean, lowest, & highest grades, and more!
  • Secure and easy to use
  • Web-based, so no need to sync anything!
  • possible Blackboard integration

Student benefits

  • More privacy than in-class, paper-based evaluations
  • More flexible in terms of time than standard evaluation methods
  • Secure and easy to use
  • Grades available much faster

The Peer Evaluation application use ONID authentication, so login credentials are secure and familiar to students and staff. Instructors are able to create various types of evaluation input based on form templates to allow for more flexible heuristics.
