debianize: easy build/deploy debian packages
$ debianize [PACKAGE_NAME] (if your project folder and package has the same name, just `debianize` is fine) OPTIONS: --repository -r packages.linux.your-company.com --group -g your_team --password -p dev0ps123 --type -t unstable|testing|staging (default: unstable) --deploy -d email@example.com,firstname.lastname@example.org (it will update and install the package in these servers. they should have your ssh public key. you can define as many machines as you want, even none)
You can also define in your project root folder (or ~/) a
.debrc file like this:
repository = "packages.linux.your-company.com" group = :your_team password = :dev0ps123 target = :testing deploy = %w(email@example.com firstname.lastname@example.org)
1) Creates a testing_1.3.8 like git tag
vx.y git tag defined by team. (ex:
v0.0 by default. If project has no
vx.y but already has a
testing_x.y.z tag, the bigger will be considered.
If you type
debianize […] -t staging, it creates a
staging_1.3.8 git tag instead.
2) Builds the package
3) Uploads distribution files to repository
4) Installs package
It will do an
apt-get update until
apt-cache show your-package shows the created package, and then an
apt-get install your-project is run.
