My Firefox version 3.6.3 is crashing with revision 3663

I reverted to 3655 and is not crashing anymore.

It crashed when I open any email with preview pane.

FF 3.6.3 on Linux. No problem here. Try with disabled all plugins.

Replying to alec:

FF 3.6.3 on Linux. No problem here. Try with disabled all plugins.

My tests were on Windows XP machine.

I can't make a test now disabling the RC plugins. Maybe later...

Confirmed with Firefox 3.6.3 (32 bits) on Windows 7 Enterprise (64 bits).
Crash still occurs with all FF and all roundcube plugins disabled.
Latest working version is rev 3658.
Crash started with rev 3662. Revisions in between don't show the mailbox at all, so I can't open mail to determine if it crashes as well.

Forgot to add: for me, Firefox doesn't crash until I try to open any email.

Also crashes the browser for me - Firefox 3.6.4 on MacOS 10.5 Intel.

Seems to work OK on Firefox 3.0 on RHEL5 x86_64, although I did notice that the mailbox view was occasionally displaying the currently selected folder as empty, and a manual check wouldn't bring it back - only a full page reload. May be unrelated, but it sounds like we may be hitting a javascript bug that breaks the page view on some browsers and crashes the engine on others.

I was just able to enable Firebug and log in without crashing. Now that I've done that, I can log in and out without crashing. Very strange.

I can confirm that: until including r3658/svn, everything is fine. From [until including 3831efb(50067d5]), the mailbox window stays empty (the unread mails count in the folder pane is correct). In 14259ce, the mailbox window comes back, but every click on a mail causes firefox to crash.
Affected:

  • Firefox 3.6.3 on Windows XP
  • Firefox 3.6.3 on MacOSX Snow Leopard
    Not affected:
  • Firefox 3.5.9 on Linux
