Reported by framelio on 30 Jun 2010 08:01 UTC as Trac ticket #1486823

I'm using the latest trunk, after the modifications to the compose screen.

Browser: FF 3.6.3 for windows

I click on "+", i browse, select the file and then the popup disappear completely.

With Internet Explorer, when I try to remove the attachment, i first get the JS alert "remove_attachment" and then the attachment is correctly removed.

You must on 'Select file' window select file and click on Open. When you use double click it disappear.[[BR]]
Alec please add double click functionality :D

My suggestion is to add Close button to attachment popup.

I suggest to improove the compose screen in this way:

On the left, the list of the folder; the attachment list and the popup for the attachment can be moved (like GMAIL style), just after the recipients.

This is only a suggestion of course.

Can confirm the "disappearing upload popup" on Safari for Windows as well. Once you select the file, the popup is gone.

Works for me with FF, Opera, Chromium on Linux. I'll check other browsers on Windows later.

I've tested many browsers on Windows and found the issue only using Safari. No problem with FF 3.6.6.

I concur. I've not seen it anywhere other than Safari for Windows.

Probably FF 3.6.6 solved some bugs.
On FF 3.6.3 for windows the problem is present.

Safarin on Windows obviously triggers document mouse click events even if file dialog is open. Fixed in 0e2ccb3
