To reproduce use this code:

WebDriver driver = new RemoteWebDriver(new URL("http://localhost:4444/wd/hub"),
DesiredCapabilities.chrome());
driver.manage().timeouts().pageLoadTimeout(20, TimeUnit.SECONDS);
driver.get("http://www.google.com");
WebElement e = driver.findElement(By.name("q"));
e.sendKeys("webdriver123");

and you get:

Exception in thread "main" org.openqa.selenium.WebDriverException: [GET, HEAD,

I've also hit this issue, but using Chrome on Linux . No problem with firefox
or IE on windows or linux. Do we have any idea when this will be fixed?

Fixed in chromedriver2. However, ChromeDriver still does not obey the given
page load timeout.
