Hi all,

My client crashes at the moment I click the button for the auto video setup. Apparently it throws some sort of exception:

Error: client.init:1263 sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0 sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke:57 sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke:43 java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke:606 Rs2Applet.a:56 Rs2Applet.init:394 app.appletviewer.b:1296 jagexappletviewer.main:7 | java.lang.RuntimeException |

at sun.awt.image.ImageFetcher.fetchloop(ImageFetcher.java:205)
at sun.awt.image.ImageFetcher.run(ImageFetcher.java:169)

Do you guys have any suggestions on how to fix this matter?

Thanks in advance.

Do you have the correct graphics drivers installed? Specifically the open source ones do not work because (amongst other things) they are not feature complete.

Have you tried the suggestions given on the Linux support section of the official wiki (which is community maintained).

Has the computer ran RuneScape using a similar setup on Windows or Mac.

What are the system specs.

Has the RSU client ever worked for you.

Consider also posting on the forums - this is primarily aimed at development not end usage.

I should check my video driver, nice one.

Yes, I tried all the suggestions on the wiki, none of them worked.

Yes, it runs on Windows, I'm on Linux Mint 17 at the moment.

System specs:
Intel i7 3770k
MSI mPower Z77
2x eVGA GTX 670
16GB 1888Mhz
~250GB SSD

No the RSU client never worked for me.

I found this link at the wiki:
http://services.runescape.com/m=forum/forums.ws?uid=25-26-99-61985129
However it says that the forum/topic doesn't exist.

I'm also noticing that the online version @ runescape.com doesn't work either.
Going to give a shoot at the video drivers.

Thanks for the reply.
You can close it IMO.

@HikariKnight I'll write a section for the official wiki giving some advice on the different drivers I think. I had a brief look on my mobile and I couldn't see any section covering it.

May as well close this as there's no RSU client issue here and changing drivers will undoubtedly fix his problem.

I would like to confirm that it indeed fixed the problem.
Thanks for the help.
