@bustervill

Using ruby-build to automate the build process.

See the log here: https://gist.github.com/3022814

Where are the commands you are running?

@bustervill

I am using ruby-build: $ ruby-build rbx-2.0.0-dev ~/.rbfu/rubies/rbx-2.0.0-dev, nothing special.
The actual options ruby-build passes are:
./configure --prefix="$PREFIX_PATH" --gemsdir="$PREFIX_PATH"
rake install
PREFIX_PATH in this case is ~/.rbfu/rubies/rbx-2.0.0-dev

I just got exactly the same issue. It looks like gem/rake/etc are binary files, for some reason...

@jonleighton

I realised that gem/rake/etc are just symlinks to rbx. Anyway, I have successfully built directly from git so I guess this is a ruby-build issue really.

I'm in the process of fixing the build and making Rubinius file system location independent (or relocatable). I'll look into ruby-build and rbenv issues after that.

@bustervill

Your commits from yesterday fix the problem.
Currently Rubinius is building fine.
Thanks.
