Hi, we have a weird error that appears sometime :

We receive a push on the hook about a gem and right after, when we try to fetch info about it, the API just answer it doesn't exists.

The hook request :

Started POST "/gems/hook.json" for 72.4.120.124 at 2012-07-18 17:47:37 +0200
Processing by RubygemsController#hook as JSON
  Parameters: {"name"=>"bluecap", ...}

and when trying to fetch it via API :

$ curl https://rubygems.org/api/v1/gems/bluecap.json
This gem does not exist
$ date
Mer 18 jul 2012 18:02:19 CEST

as you can see, the gem is not available over the API, even 15 min after the hook request has been received (can be up to few hours long).

Though, the gem is visible on the rubygems.org website, so it seems to be only related to the API.

Also, and as far as I can tell, this only happens for fresh new gems that are released for the first time.

Can you please check what's causing this delay ?

thanks.
