This is a tracking issue for the unstable
float_from_str_radixfeature in the standard library. These functions I believe were added to mirror the functionality on integers, but it's unclear what these functions are actually doing in terms of radixes. There's also a discussion on internals bringing up points about how they may be incorrect.These functions will likely want to be deprecated and removed, but should ensure that there aren't many current users otherwise.
