Inclusion of /opt/local as external package source in SmartOS #1208

SmartOS stores all of its packages installed via pkgin at /opt/local

The only way to get readline (as an example) to link with the system install library (installed via pkgin) is via

rvm install 1.9.3 --with-readline-dir=/opt/local

Thought I'd add this this issue rather than make a new one. Perhaps we should also add autoconf to the requirements list for SmartOS since I am now getting

rvm requires autoreconf to install the selected ruby interpreter however autoreconf was not found in the PATH.

Autoconf is available as a pkgin download, so simply adding it to the requirements list should suffice.

Another requirement is automake - required for the autoreconf stage of installation.
