executable-hooks (1.2.6) is inadvertently being added in ruby distribution 1.86. This was confirmed on a pristine, newly installed Linux Mint 15, (32 bit) where only:

rvm requirements
rvm install 1.8.6

were executed. Then:

gem list -d
/home/user/.rvm/gems/ruby-1.8.6-p420@global/gems/executable-hooks-1.2.6/lib/executable-hooks/regenerate_binstubs_command.rb:47: warning: parenthesize argument(s) for future version

RVM Ruby Gem Library

In correspondence with Michal Papis, this is removed with:
executable-hooks-uninstaller
rvm @global do gem uninstall -ax rubygems-bundler executable-hooks bundler-unload

Which solved the problem however it should not have been installed on the 1.8.6 distribution.
