Are there any plans to support Ohm?

Ohm is a library for storing objects in Redis, a persistent key-value database. It includes an extensible list of validations and has very good performance.

+1 It would be great if Ohm was supported!

I tried to make it work with Ohm but without success: #484

@mimosa @manuelmeurer did you guys make any progress on integrating cancan with Ohm? I'm interested in this as well.

It looks like we'd need to add a new model adapter.

Nope, we looked at it shortly but couldn't really estimate the time that would be necessary. By now we don't use Ohm that much anymore.

Dear submitter, Since cancan/raynB hasn't been active for more than 6 months and no body else then ryam himself has commit permissions the cancan project is on a stand still.
Since cancan has several issues including missing support for rails 4 cancan is moving forward to cancancan. More details on: #994

If your feel that your pull request or bug is still applicable (and hasn't been merged in to cancan) it would be really appreciated if you would resubmit it to cancancan (https://github.com/cancancommunity/cancancan)

We hope to see you on the other side!
