DubhacksProject

NOTE: EXTENSION NO LONGER WORKS. API KEY IS OUTDATED AND WILL NOT WORK UNLESS YOU RENEW AN API KEY FROM MICROSOFT'S COMPUTER VISION API PAGE

Read more about the project on the website:
http://www.phobiacensor.tech/

How does it work?

The Phobia Censor parses the HTML document for all image tags and then uses the Microsoft Computer Vision API to determine a list of tags for the images. It then cross checks those tags with the user's list of phobias and blocks out all of the content that may resemble the phobia and thus makes internet browsing safe for all!

How to use Phobia Censor?

  • Clone the repository to your computer or download the zip file.
  • Open up the Test Website Folder and then open up IMAGES.html in a chrome browser.
  • Enable the extension:
  • Open up a new tab in the chrome browser and type in the URL bar: chrome://extensions
  • Check the Developer Mode option
  • Click on "Load Unpacked Extension..."
  • Select the entire DubhacksProject folder
  • Activate the chrome extension and refresh the test website page
You can’t perform that action at this time.
