Safemoon tokens disappeared from metamask

A couple of days ago almost all my safemoon tokens disappeared from my metamask. I did not transfer them. According to bscscan.com they were transferred to the Safemoon protocol contract address. (0x8076c74c5e3f5852037f31ff0093eeb8c8add8d3)
I did not make this transfer. How can the tokens have gone back to the main contract address without me actioning it??

Thanks bro. But how could they have access to my tokens in Metamask?? It may well be a scam but them being able to effectively steal from me tokens is radical. Also, to take them back to the contract address I bought them from is too obvious, surely??

You sent something to it almost a month ago, I'm wondering if it might have been something getting into your wallet.

I think you are right. Looking at that address it has a load of wierd BSC tokens in it. I dont think I made that transaction a month ago either.
