this seems to be covered in the case of NO !slide markers by the code
above that inserts the !slide markers. i think that is fine, plus it
was breaking even the example preso.

    showoff.json:
allow single files as sections; allow mere strings instead of {section: name} in showoff.json
if filename starts with # its not a file name, its raw markdown
if theres no showoff.json file, just use ./*.md in alphabetical order

    default style:
better pre padding (in case you want to give it a color background)
blockquotes and numbered lists are better
pre nested inside li was super-big
give normal lists more list-like styling (bullets, left margin). Use plain paragraphs for centered text.
improve CSS for nested bullet lists, subsection titles
CSS changes (nested lists are bulleted; plain text isnt tiny)
      make small bullets more legible

    misc:
dont inline sh_lang languages... not sure why
      minor fix to triggered events
every H1 creates a new slide (unless its already on a new slide)
incremental mode uses visibility:hidden rather than display:none, so visible elements stay where they were, and so resizing works on incremental slides
      bugfix in new slide code
allow a few spaces before the @@@ to make code blocks easier to write
bugfix: stop using gemspec directive, since showoff.gemspec loads stuff thats not necessarily there yet
added ? as an alias for toggle help; updated help box to include most key commands
pres_file option which to override the name of the showoff.json file, to allow several different presentations which share sections
showoff serve can take an argument to specify presentation directory

    	README.rdoc
    	lib/showoff.rb
    	public/js/showoff.js

When using the "commandline" slide style, you can now start commands
with either $ or # and split commands over multiple lines by using a
    back slash.

    e.g.

        # some root command
        some output
        $ some really long \
          command over several \
          lines
        some output
        that goes over
        several lines
$ some command \( with back slashes \)
        output

Please note that this adds the Parslet library as a dependency so that commandline slides can be parsed in a robust fashion (rather than using a naïve regular expression).

Due to the way the ShowOff gemspec requires ./lib/showoff, you will need to manually run "gem install parslet" to try out the new behaviour. (Im planning to extract ShowOff::VERSION into a separate file in a separate commit to alleviate this issue.)

Since showoff doesnt have a test suite, I ran through creating a new slideshow, and also the example, and things seem to work OK.

(Made a new pull request from a topic branch as mentioned in your Markdown documentation)

This actually works in showoff if you have SVG images that have no "height" or "width" attributes specified. You also might need to fix the SVG file so it has a proper viewbox.

I used a modified version of "scour" to fix my SVG files after exporting them from Omnigraffle:
    http://www.codedread.com/scour/

You can test my changes to showoff with my showoff presentation, SVGs included:
