Option to delete task on completion

I have several notes that contain todo lists of recurring tasks; e.g. things I need to do every week/month. It would be great to be able to have it just update the todo time to the next recurrence rather than completing and duplicating the list. some of these lists with 10+ items quickly have 20/30/40 items within just a few weeks.

Alternatively, maybe a button/action to delete completed tasks from a note?

Thanks. I think #80 is related but not quite the same. That is looking for a hotkey, what I was imagining was more of a setting that applies to changes being made, so I wouldn't need to press a hotkey occasionally.

My interim solution is a shell script doing find . -iname '*.md' | xargs sed -i '/- [x]/d ' to remove them. but it has the same problem that it needs me to run it.
