RGB support needs to be more robust:

  • If an image has exactly 3 channels and each is an unsigned 8-bit plane with composite display, we may want to assume RGB.
  • Determine when we may want to manually interleave the multiple planes of an RGB image to a single byte array.
  • Add appropriate dialog and warning messages for these settings (to ImageJ). These options can eventually go into a more advanced save dialog box, allowing the user the choice of how to save their RGB images.
