I am no longer maintaining this repository. I want to learn mercurial, so I've moved stuff here: https://bitbucket.org/scottmuc/vimfiles/. This repository will be deleted at the end of the year.
Installation (in your home)
git clone git://github.com/scottmuc/vimfiles.git ~/.vim
cd .vim && install.bat
cd ~/.vim && sh install.sh
After many iterations I feel I've come to a vim file solution that works best for me. I tried Vundler and I felt that the extra layer didn't really provide much value. So I switched back to using pathogen, but the next question was how to handle the bundles. I experimented with a script that fetches all the bundles then contemplated submodules. In the end, checking in the bundles straight into my repository feels like the simplist solution.
