To-do

  • Fix missing locations when viewing an Event profile. Might be a reuse table view cell issue
  • App crashes when updating machine condition
  • Null city data will show in recently added occasionally
  • MOTD shows up once per day on a device. Trying to find a place to put it so the user can see it after it is initial shown. Also need to work on it showing after a region change
  • Link to location from Recently Added view
  • Support submitting a new event. Should contact the individual region contact (http://pinballmap.com/api/v1/docs/1.0/regions/contact.html)
  • Recently added support
  • Reload events view when the region changes
  • Check why distance is not updating on every update of the geolocation
  • Nearby button/tab
    • Single Map view centered on current user with pins around them
  • When Location/Event link is Facebook, open it in Safari. (Possibly look into launching the Facebook App)
  • List of Zones is empty
  • Change request a region to use the API. http://pinballmap.com/api/v1/docs/1.0/regions/suggest.html
  • Individual region contact. Required: Name, Email, Message use API. (http://pinballmap.com/api/v1/docs/1.0/regions/contact.html)
  • Message of the day. Should be some kind of unobtrusive alert
  • Try to sort regions based on location when app first launches for first selection
  • Switch the order of the events listings. Right now the one that's furthest out (by date) is listed first
  • Add a requirement of at least one machine when suggesting a new location
  • Make Machines the default tab when viewing location profile

Research

  • On iPad show pins as you filter the results. From Ryan: Since you have a map staring at you most of the time, it would be nice if it responded more to the sorts. Like when you sort by zone, the map doesn't move to show that area, and no pins drop. When you sort by distance, again no pins on the map.
  • Force a reload after a user adds a new machine

In the Events section, add a button that says "Submit an Event"

When clicked, it goes to the "Individual region contact" form.

When you tried to edit a location description, it says "phone format invalid."

That field should not have that format restriction.

Machine scores - Can we allow users to include commas when adding in scores? AND can we display commas when showing current high scores?

@RyanTG Follow up to some of the issues.

  • For phone format, can you send me what you typed in. I think the check is being done on the server, @scottwainstock can you confirm?
  • For Machine Scores not allowing commas. I think the check is being done on the server, @scottwainstock can you confirm?
  • For Facebook links do you want them to open in Safari?

For Facebook links, I would make the argument to try to open the link in the native Facebook app, if iOS allows for this behavior. The average user is far more likely to have their user/pass saved for the Facebook app, making for a better experience.

Another thing to add to the "region" section: # of locations, and # of machines in that region. I think people would be into that information. Totally fine if that doesn't make it into this release.
