Guide for Scratch Translators
Note: If you have any suggestions for this guide, send us an email: translate@scratch.mit.edu
Scratchers from all over the world are able to create with Scratch thanks to the generous help of volunteers like you. Are you interested in helping bring Scratch to more languages?
-
Translate Scratch or review translations using Transifex. You can learn how to get started in the next section.
-
Join our Slack Community to connect with others translating Scratch.
-
Spread the word! Recruit other people who might be able to volunteer their time or sponsor translate efforts. This is critical if you're contributing to a language that doesn't seem to have many volunteers.
-
Translate the Scratch Coding Cards. The coding card decks from the Ideas page are available in several different formats for translation.

Again – we could not be more appreciative of the work that the translators and reviewers do. Scratch would not be the growing community of creation that it is without their hard work to make it more accessible across the globe. Thank you for continuing to put your time and energy into helping translate our site!
If you have any questions at all, please feel free to email us! Or, if you want to, drop us a note on Transifex too!
Many thanks,
Scratch Team
