Delete file bug #99
Comments
@gwthompson -- I can't verify this -- when I choose the command and press Cancel the file does not get deleted. When you say it was deleted, what exactly is the evidence? |
@scripting I just did it again. I created a tester.opml file and made it public. Added some content and then selected Delete file... and pressed Cancel and got the dialog box The file "tester.opml" is gone. I am running Monterey on my Mac using the latest Safari released with Monterey. I just tested the same thing on my iPad Pro running iPadOS 15.1 and it didn't delete the file but I had refreshed my Drummer page to show my open tester.opml. I then went back to my Mac and refreshed the page and now the Cancel worked. What doesn't make sense is the outline I originally deleted by hitting Cancel had been open in Drummer for days. |

@gwthompson -- i need you to answer the questions I ask. clearly and simply. |

@gwthompson -- just to be clear, when you did a file/open the file tester.opml was not in the list? |
@gwthompson -- can you try it again and look in the JavaScript console to see if there are any errors. |
@scripting So now I have tried many times and can not reproduce what I saw this morning which happened two times in a row. The console showed nothing as well. I guess it was just a strange anomaly on my Mac. |
@gwthompson -- we'll keep an eye out for it. I may do some digging around the confirmation routine, if so I hope you'll keep an eye out for it in Change Notes, so you can give it a try. I'll close the issue for now. |
I was looking through the different menu items and came across the File > Delete file.. so I selected it and it told me that my current outline would be deleted which is what I expected. I then hit Cancel and lo and behold my current outline was deleted even though I had pressed Cancel.
