I've wanted a way to do Frontier-like odb persistent storage in JavaScript apps. Yesterday I finally figured out how to do it, with nudges from Ted Howard and Allen Wirfs-Brock.

I wrote it up on my blog today. There's now an NPM package, and of course a GitHub repository with a readme and two example apps.

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, this is the place to post.

Haven't had a chance to play with this yet, but i love the implementation. Has made me think about a Dropbox-API backend and a localstorage backend... Thanks for sharing this!

Thanks. I have a feeling there's more that can be done with this. I'm going to take another look, but it might be a few months from now.

BTW -- I just came up with an idea -- a websockets interface, so a client app could automatically be notified of any changes to an object. I have an application for that actually, right now. ;-)
