Replaces #205 as it only updates the minimum set of dependencies to get us a new version of composer@dev instead of composer@alpha. Sometimes solver still confuses me. :-/ Not sure why we had to update these deps as well; nothing I could see in the dependencies should have required this.
@dragonmantank if you can try out your site w/ this build that would be helpful to me. See if it fixes your problem. We should merge this and update the phar soon.
