  1. Add scripts to backup and restore timestamps

    scy committed Apr 1, 2017
Using the timestamps of the files on disk was in hindsight not the best
design decision for qb. First, in order to have a creation timestamp,
the ugly `.cre` file hack had to be introduced. Second, version control
systems like Git mess the filestamps up as well (with good intentions,
    though).

Since I'm moving away from using qb in my personal blog, I want to
create a long-term archive of my posts, one which does not depend on me
not losing the mtimes during a copy operation. Therefore, these two
little scripts help me capture the timestamps as they are on the host my
blog ran on since 2013. I'm gonna commit the resulting file to Git to
keep me from losing the timestamps ever again.

This would be tiresome if I was still writing new blog posts, but I don't.

  1. TODO for PATH_INFO check.

    Tim Weber
Tim Weber committed May 4, 2008
Don't know whether PATH_INFO can be legitimally empty, check that and whether
it can cause problems with the new qbURL code.
  2. Fix for lighttpd with empty $_SERVER['PATH_INFO']

    Uli Tim Weber
Uli authored and Tim Weber committed May 4, 2008
It seems like on (my?) lighttpd $_SERVER['PATH_INFO'] is set, but empty
which results in qb always showing the front page.

Fix this by also checking for an empty PATH_INFO before using it.

  1. Fix cleanpath stupidity in default templates.

    Tim Weber
Tim Weber committed Apr 14, 2008
<qb:cleanpath> does not make sense around "http://" because it eats the double
slashes, duh. Sorry for breaking "read" indication of your feeds because of ID
    changes...
  2. Check for $_SERVER['HTTPS'] existence for Lighty.

Thanks to Matthias who reported that apparently lighttpd doesn't have
$_SERVER['HTTPS'], causing PHP to spit out warnings.

    Tim Weber
Tim Weber committed Apr 13, 2008
You can now set <created:123> and <modified:123> in the first line, overriding
    the actual metadata value.

Also, setting <modified:!> will set its value to that of "created", making the
    file appear unmodified.
  6. Added <qb:cleanpath> template tag.

This is now the "real" fix for the root directory problem.

All example templates have been updated to use it; people using custom
templates will have to put <qb:cleanpath>...</qb:cleanpath> around every place
where a path is constructed. In its current version, cleanpath will simply
    remove double slashes.
  7. README: Templates are in tpl/, not in src/.

This is not really fixed, actually path handling is a bit weird atm.
But it works for now, let's see if I find the time to change this before 0.3.

Cleared the TODO for the mailing list as well.
