This is mostly an exercise in understanding both Rails and Sinatra! As you can see, I simply took NateW's Obtvse and put it into Sinatra.
So far, so good. Not everything is working just yet, but I've learned a lot about how Rails works by trying to mimic similar functionality in Sinatra.
sObtvse is built on Sinatra and MongoDB (through MongoMapper), and it is setup to be easily deployed to Heroku.
Installation + Deployment
$ git clone firstname.lastname@example.org:seanslerner/sObtvse.git $ cd sObtvse $ bundle install
Be sure to change the necessary CONFIG info at the top of
$ heroku create mysObtvseBlog --stack cedar $ heroku addons:add mongohq:free
xml.guid URLs in
sobtvse.rb to your heroku URL.
$ git push heroku master
Bam! You should be up and running!
