I've had a few requests to be able to try out the search as a service before purchasing, which seems reasonable. Until now I've been suggesting people use Quick Add to check their site is indexed correctly, and to have a look at other people's APIs e.g. https://searchmysite.net/api/v1/search/michael-lewis.com?q=antarctica .

The "Verified Add (Free Trial)" features, as per https://searchmysite.net/admin/add/quick/, could be the same as Quick Add, but with the API enabled and with access to Manage Site (although with the Reindex button disabled), i.e.:

Verified Add (Free Trial)
Indexing frequency Every 28 days
Indexing page limit 50 pages
On-demand reindexing No
API enabled Yes
Access Manage Site to configure indexing Yes
Cost Free

In terms of starting the Free Trial, that could be the exact same as Verified Add but without the Purchase step.

I suspect this would need some database schema changes to support.

Now implemented. The difference between Basic, Free Trial, and Full, are listed at the new single Add Site page at https://searchmysite.net/admin/add/ .
