The following equipment requires proper certification before members can use them unsupervised:
- Laser cutters
- 3D printers
- Wood CNC mill
- Additional equipment may require certification (check with staff)
- Ensures safe operation of complex equipment

- Prevents damage to expensive machinery
- Helps maintain equipment in good working condition

- Seattle Makers regularly offers certification courses
- Members receive discounted rates on certifications
- Certification courses are hands-on and practical
- Successful completion grants you access to use the equipment

- Certification sessions are typically offered multiple times per month
- Private certifications may be available for an additional fee
- All members must complete a safety orientation
- Covers basic shop safety, emergency procedures, and general policies
- Required before using any equipment in the space
