Seattle Makers offers various membership levels to accommodate different needs.

*Self-Service use of this equipment requires a certification class. Seattle Makers certification classes can be taken affordably using your membership discount and class credit. Check the Seattle Makers calendar for dates.

**Most tools and equipment are free. Machines priced per minute (with variable pricing) include: laser cutters, 3D printers, wood CNC mill, metal CNC mill, and vinyl cutter.

These memberships are for folks who can give more to support scholarships for fellow makers!

Membership Deal

Purchase a full year membership of any kind and get two months free! Choose the "Yearly" option during signup.

Credit Rollover Policy

If your monthly class or machine time credits are not fully used, a limited amount will roll over to the next month until it reaches a cap of $250.

Financial Support

Several options are available for reduced-rate access:

Maketeer Program

  • Volunteer 4 hours/week in exchange for a free "Maker" membership ($120 machine time credit included) and free certifications.
  • Help assist members and support makerspace operations.
  • Apply via the interest form.

Membership Scholarship Program

  • Offered in partnership with Community Makers NW.
  • Covers membership costs for economically disadvantaged individuals (students, low-income, retirees).

Membership Policies

Billing and Payment

  • All monthly memberships automatically renew each billing cycle. No contracts. Cancel anytime
  • Members are billed on the same day each month as their initial signup
  • All membership cancellations must occur prior to the next billing date

Cancellation Process

  • Members can cancel their own accounts online at SeattleMakers.org
  • For cancellation instructions, visit our website

Refund Policy

  • Within 5 days of activation: Refunds available with 10% processing fee
  • After 5 days of activation: No refunds except in specific cases (disability or death)
  • All refund requests should be sent to members@seattlemakers.org

Family & Household Members

  • Discounted memberships available for family/household members
  • Inquire for details in person or at contact@seattlemakers.org

Guest Passes

  • Available for purchase on the membership page.
  • Cost: $20 per day.
  • Allows a guest (8 years old and up) accompanied by a member to use the space for one day.
  • Tool access is included, but safety training and certification requirements still apply for specific equipment*.
  • Member must accompany guests at all times.

Youth Makers (Ages 8-17)

  • Our insurance covers youth makers aged 8-17 with supervision by a guardian.
  • Guardians need their own membership or a guest pass to be in the space.
  • Contact us with questions about youth memberships.
