This is an enhancement request (not sure if there is a seperate place to log this)

Firefox and IE do not seem to have an option to ignore security warnings like chrome
does. Or if they do, they lack documentation on it. I am looking for the equivalent
of chrome's "chromeOptions.AddArguments("ignore-certificate-errors");" in IE and FF

Selenium version: 2.20
OS: Windows 7
Browser: IE or FF
Browser version: IE9 and FF11

For FF you can do this through the FireoxProfile class.

FirefoxProfile profile = new FirefoxProfile();
profile.setAcceptUntrustedCertificates(true); // NOTE: this is the default behavior
WebDriver driver = new FirefoxDriver(profile);

I believe the IEDriver is also configured to accept untrusted certs by default.

No, jmleyba. IEDriver still not ignore certificate error.

I'm using RemoteDriver start IEDriver. version: 2.21 ie: 8

If you try click on the "temp accept certificate" (By.Id("overridelink")),IEDriver
will fails to find it. And you can't using any type of find element function or exec
js to find that link.

thank you
I used to rely on the Remember Certificate Exception plug in for a while on Firefox
with Selenium RC and then later on Selenium Webdriver. Everything was working fine
until the latest FF release of 15 and 16 and my scripts stopped working and I started
having problem with my add on's staying plugged consistently. Turns out, when I went
to the add on home page (
) for Remember Certificate Exception, in bold red text, they indicate: "Not available
for Firefox 15.0.1 "

I am so elated that WebDriver handles profile and security exceptions with ease. Thanks
so much!

For Chrome solution is available.
For FF it's already implemented.
For IE issue #2381 is already existed.
For Safari another issue is existed.

Closed as duplicate.
