// serde/src/lib.rs
#[allow(unused_imports)]
#[macro_use]
extern crate serde_derive;
pub use serde_derive::*;

Apparently this works in Rust 1.15...

#[macro_use] // now gives you derive(Serialize, Deserialize)
extern crate serde;

Having to re-enabled std is obnoxious for libraries that want to use serde without derive, like linked-hash-map.

serde = { version = "0.9", default-features = false, features = ["std"] }
