As I see that the XSL snippets I provided for Zen Coding have been included in Emmet, I was wondering why the markup snippets I provided weren't included?

        "snippets": {
            "xsl": "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>\n<xsl:stylesheet version=\"1.0\" xmlns:xsl=\"http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform\">\n\t\n</xsl:stylesheet>"

Could this be included in the next release? It's very time consuming to have to do this by hand every time. I've installed it manually for myself.

I don’t remember the reason, but you can fork and contribute snippets file.

Awesome, I will do when I've re-installed my Mac :(

I’d suggest you to create this snippet as alias so it can inherit user-defined syntax profiles. Your snippets definition would look like this:

    "snippets": {
        "xml": "<?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?>"
    "abbreviations": {
        "xsl": "xml+xsl:stylesheet[version=1.0 xmlns:xsl=http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform]"
