The fact that we did not observe the crashes when updating to servo/webrender@64f1d8a but did see crashes on servo/webrender@a9955c9 tells us that the problem comes from either:

  • the core-foundation/core-graphics/core-text update
  • the freetype update

My money is on freetype at this point.

Fascinating - this crash is introduced somewhere between servo/webrender@0bf15cb and servo/webrender@ed6ed92.
