A simple example of compiling C/SDL to WebAssembly and binding it to an HTML5 canvas.
Live demo: https://shlomnissan.github.io/sdl-wasm
Clone the repository:
git clone https://github.com/shlomnissan/sdl-wasm
makeor build manually:
emcc main.c -s WASM=1 -s USE_SDL=2 -s USE_SDL_IMAGE=2 -s SDL2_IMAGE_FORMATS='["png"]' --preload-file assets -o index.js
Chrome doesn't support file XHR requests so you need to open index.html from a web server. You can use Emscripten for that too:
🕹Use the arrow keys to move the texture around.
- Add keyboard input controls to move the square around
- Include SDL_Image and render a texture instead of the blue square
