I am working on packaging these plugins for the Debian distribution. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the copyright information anywhere.
Do you have an idea ?
I have grab some code from a other repository, so I ask to this repository owner the same question.
When he answer me, I will update the file header, add a COPYING file and keep you informed.
Thank you for that. :)
Did you find the copyright information from the upstream ? We would like to publish a package to Debian but we can't do that without the copyright ;-)
No answer from upstream project, I will try to contact directly the main developer of this plugins.
Any success ?
Could you give me URLs / references to your requests ? I may be able to help and talk to the upstream.
I have opened a issue at upsteram: cloudbuilders#3
And I have written a email to the main developer of this plugins: https://github.com/anotherjesse.
Glance plugins have been entirely written by me, so copyright is "Mehdi Abaakouk email@example.com" and licensing is GPL3+.
(01:51:23 PM) dachary: anotherjesse_zz: I would very much like your help in sorting out the licensing of the munin plugins your wrote ( cloudbuilders#3 ). I sent you an email with the context ;-)
I also sent the following email: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/openstack-devel/2012-June/000989.html
(10:08:25 AM) dachary: Does anyone know how to get in touch with anotherjesse_zz ? I need less than 2 minutes of his time, to publish the licensing terms of https://github.com/cloudbuilders/openstack-munin ;-) ( more context here http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/openstack-devel/2012-June/000989.html )
I also sent the following email: http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/openstack-devel/2012-June/001051.html
Could you try to tweet him maybe ? Or find a mailing list where he is subscribed to ?
Wow, twiter was a good choice.
Well done. It's good to see patience rewarded.
Licensing have been commited:
