I have a blog, http://maflingo.com When I visit a number of websites and leave a comment, e.g. http://islandliving365.com and then check the 'COmmentLuv' box so it finds my last post from my RSS feed I get the attached message. I am self-hosted and use Wordpress. I don't knoew how to program or use force_feed. My website isn't black listed. Occassionally my feed can be found so I dont know if some sort of timeout could be generating this error. My feed is a real feed as I have checked it. http://maflingo.com/feed and so I am stuck.
It is important to be able to have commentluv pick up my RSS feed as it helps with my DA but more and more sites are giving me this error.
My website does not have a security certificate..Does this matter?
It has nothing to do with the SimplePie plugin or your website. There isn't anything you have done that causes this issue.
The problem is with http://islandliving365.com
Their web server's IP address is blacklisted by your hosting company, and most likely for good reasons.
It has nothing to do with Wordpress, commentluv or SimplePie.
I suspect that http://islandliving365.com is on a shared server that is known to be infected with malware. It's IP address has attacked your hosting company's servers in the past and triggered an automated blacklisting.
Keep in mind, that this is perfectly normal and happens all the time on the internet. Your hosting company is blocking this IP to protect your website and your personal data.
I also get this error when I comment on sites such as http://theanamumdiary.co.uk/
A feed could not be found at http://maflingo.com/. A feed with an invalid mime type may fall victim to this error, or SimplePie was unable to auto-discover it.. Use force_feed() if you are certain this URL is a real feed.
And then when I hoever it gives me this:
What is going wrong?!!
