Not trying to be a dork but I thought of a different approach :)
In your repo do this git reset --soft HEAD~2 this will revert both commits but not remove your changes. Then git add mongo/models.md to just add the mongo file and finally git commit -m 'update gem name'. Now you have a clean git history with one commit only. Then you will have to force push your commit to github git push -f your_remote_repo_name. This will automatically update your pull request so no need to close and reopen a pull request. It's only a diff between this and your repo.
