This is an addition to my previous pull request resolving issue 940, giving examples of how to set server_settings whether you're using WEBrick or using a different environment (Thin, Puma, Unicorn). It seemed like a good idea to put it in the section about development environments (also, the <dl> tags in the Available Settings section were messing with my multiline code blocks.

I think you could use the argument of configure, and then the singular method isn't officially. Instead, you can use the following code.

configure :development do
  set :server_settings, {}
end

configure :production do
  # ...
end
