TikZ is a wonderful awesome graph drawing package for TeX/LaTeX/ConTeXt. Unlike other TeX packages, TikZ itself is really huge, its manual contains about 1100+ pages, 100+ chapters. Tens of other packages, and serveral GUI applications are based on TikZ. So I think it's better to draft a separate list of resources for TikZ.

By submitting this pull request I confirm I've read and complied with the below requirements.

Failure to properly do so will just result in the pull request being closed and everyone's time wasted. Please read it twice. Most people miss many things.

  • I have read and understood the contribution guidelines and the instructions for creating a list.
  • This pull request has a descriptive title. For example, Add Name of List, not Update readme.md or Add awesome list.
  • The entry in the Awesome list should include a short description about the list project/theme (not the list itself), and should be added at the bottom of the appropriate category.
  • The list I added
    • has been around for at least 30 days,
    • is the result of hard work and is the best I could possibly produce,
    • is a non-generated Markdown file in a GitHub repo,
    • is not a duplicate,
    • includes a succinct description of the project/theme at the top (example),
    • includes a project logo/illustration (whenever possible) at the top right of the readme (example). (The logo should link to the project website or any relevant website. The logo should be high-DPI, so set it to maximum half the width of the original image.),
    • only has awesome items with descriptions (Awesome lists are curations of the best, not of everything),
    • contains the awesome badge on the right side of the list heading,
    • has a Table of Contents section named Contents as the first section,
    • has an appropriate license (Meaning something like CC0, NOT a code licence like MIT, BSD, Apache, etc) (If you use a license badge, it should be SVG, not PNG),
    • has contribution guidelines,
    • doesn't include a Travis badge,
    • has been checked for inconsistent formatting, spelling, and grammar:
      • Each link description starts with an uppercase character and ends with a period.
      • Drop all the A / An prefixes in the descriptions.
      • Consistent naming. For example, Node.js, not NodeJS or node.js.

is a non-generated Markdown file in a GitHub repo,

The list is not in markdown format - I think it's much better when they are because it requires a less steeper learning curve for contributors. What do you think?

@xiaohanyu Where did you find this license badge? It looks much better than the official one.

@davisonio Hi, thanks for your reminding, just convert all org-mode to markdown format.

Oh, I'm a nerd emacs user, 😆

@sindresorhus Hi, I found all badge here: https://github.com/opentf/GuokrBadge.

This repo is a Chinese repo, however, you can get all images you like. All badges are designed and made by @emptymalei .

In TikZ is a wonderful awesome graph drawing package, link TikZ to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/PGF/TikZ

I'd like to see some links to community resources: Stack Overflow tag, IRC, chat, forums, communities, Reddit, etc. Example: https://github.com/sindresorhus/awesome-electron#community

Would also like to see some relevant (YouTube) videos / talks about it.

Friendly pong. I was too busy to response earlier.

Just add community and videos sections, however, TikZ has fewer users than other awesomeness, such as JavaScript, Python, etc. so TikZ has fewer communities and videos.

Also, remove travis badge.

Unfortunately, Github reminds me that this PR has a conflict, should I close this PR and re-submit a new PR?

Thanks.

I think that @sindresorhus can resolve it with the github web app.

No, when you have a conflict, you resolve it, not resubmit. Most of the time it can be resolved in the GitHub web UI, but not in this case. See: https://www.google.co.th/search?q=resolve+merge+conflicts+github&oq=resolve+merge+con&aqs=chrome.2.0j69i57j0l4.3719j0j1&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

Hi, @sindresorhus

I've tried many ways and it seems I can't resolve the conflict if I do not submit a new PR.

I may delete the original fork where this PR was born:

image

And github says that "Only those with write access to this repository can merge pull requests":

image

I've also googled a lot, and it seems that PR from a deleted repo has a long OFFICIAL issue here:

isaacs/github#168

StackOverflow has no way to fix it:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36071272/fix-unknown-repository-of-an-opened-pr-after-deleted-the-fork

So I guess the only way to resolve the conflict is to resubmit a new PR.

I think that @sindresorhus can use the web ui to resolve the conflicts. Or you can use the git command line.

Ok.. I guess you have to then.
