Images in {{ content }}

Hi –
Having some issues with how images are getting pulled through using Siteleaf -> Jekyll -> GHPages

I have the image added here:

and then added here:

But on the page I don't get the baseurl appended so the link is broken:

It is also getting wrapped in a <p> which I don't want.

I tried {{ content | markdownify }} but no luck

Any ideas?

To clarify, does your image not live at /uploads/e71377_b6171e187eb740ef8a80908bca153001_mv2.jpeg? That should be the full relative path.

Is it in another folder besides /uploads/?

For Markdown, the syntax is ![alt text](url) so you could always change the URL to something else.

Markdown will wrap any non-block elements in a <p> block. If you don't want this, you could wrap it in another block element like <div> or leave it out of your markdown and use metadata instead.

I think the problem is it will live at /uploads/e71377_b6171e187eb740ef8a80908bca153001_mv2.jpeg once I connect to the domain. But when running it GitHub pages the url is https://harryfischer.github.io/wrecktangle/ and therefore seems to live inside the wrecktangle/ folder. I can manually change the URLs inside SiteLeaf and it works but I guess I will need to remove again before I launch.

We would highly recommend using a root domain or subdomain rather than a subfolder to host your site. Siteleaf provides you with free subdomains you can use with GitHub Pages.

However if you prefer to use a subfolder, you can do something like this:

{{ content | replace: "/uploads/", "/SUBFOLDER/uploads/" }}
